Built for banking royalty, the Child family in the 18th Century by architect Robert Adam, this is an outrageously lavish building, full of valuable art and plenty of soaring columns. Make sure you take a little detour to check out the winter gardens and Hanwell Flight on the Grand Union Canal a short stroll away.
