    Attend a barn dance at Cecil Sharp House

    It might sound a little old fashioned, but trust us, Cecil Sharp House is regularly voted amongst the best music venues in London and its traditional dances (including rollicking ceilidhs) are stonking. If you love folk music, their programme will get your foot tapping too.

    This is a London palace to top all London palaces. Built for banking royalty, the Child family in the 18th Century by architect Robert Adam, this is an outrageously lavish building, full of valuable art and plenty of soaring columns. Make sure you take a little detour to check out the winter gardens and Hanwell Flight on the Grand Union Canal a short stroll away.

Go for a stroll, take a tour, stop for lunch or plan a picnic in the grounds to enjoy this striking spot.
